Your future role

• Evaluate products to verify compliance with quality standards Maintain a QA system — formulas, analytical methods, and records
• Plan and carry out all aspects of chemical testing on batches, customer samples, and test batches
• Discuss with supervisor quality issues surrounding chemical testing, batch results, and stability testing, and prepares all related reports
• Perform routine analytical instrument maintenance and reagent standardization
• Perform routine checks throughout the shift to monitor mixing, packaging, formulation and sanitation
• Collect and prepare samples for analysis
• Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency
• Collaborate with consultants, the MOECC and suppliers

Required skills

• High school diploma or equivalent — required Laboratory technician or any other related diploma — an asset     
• One to three years of experience working in a laboratory setting — an asset
• Excellent organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information
• Proven ability to work autonomously
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
